Our biggest challenge was trying to figure out the finances of ownership. How do we compensate ourselves fairly so every partner feels good about all the time and effort they’re contributing, as well as their unique contributions – their special skills, ideas, experiences. What’s the best way to handle salaries, dividends, bonuses?
The PC process gave us a structured, supportive environment where we each came prepared for our meetings with our own ideas. Open communication flourished. We were able to address potential conflicts quickly and constructively. Between the three of us and our two guides, we held three months of Zoom meetings from three continents: two of us in Israel, one in Australia, and our two guides in the U.S. It worked incredibly well. The facilitation – at times mediation – was outstanding. All partners’ interests were carefully considered allowing us to develop mutually beneficial agreements the guides meticulously drafted in our Charter and we all were happy to sign.
Using our Charter, our attorney efficiently drafted a Partnership Agreement. Because we created our Charter first, we not only have solid legal documents, we understand them! We’re confident this solid foundation will contribute to the success and longevity of our partnership.
