Kelly Hamilton, Ph. D.

Senior Consultant
St. Louis, MO

Kelly Hamilton helps leaders navigate growth, complexity, and transition with greater clarity, confidence, and presence. As a Senior Consultant at CMA Global based in St. Louis, his work focuses on executive coaching and team development, supporting executives, founders, and leadership teams across industries, including technology, healthcare, construction, entertainment, hospitality, and closely held businesses. Clients describe him as grounded and insightful, noting his ability to create a warm, trusting space that invites openness and reflection while pairing that trust with thoughtful challenge that moves leaders beyond the patterns limiting their effectiveness.

Kelly’s approach is shaped by an early career spent leading through change. Before becoming an industrial-organizational psychologist, he spent more than fifteen years as a co-founder and business owner in the media and marketing industry during an era marked by rapid disruption and the pressures of the Great Recession. That experience sharpened his ability to combine creative thinking with disciplined decision-making, and it continues to inform how he helps leaders navigate complexity with courage, creativity, and intention.

He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Portland State University, has completed training through the Co-Active Training Institute, and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. His academic background also includes degrees in German and Psychology from Austin College and a master’s degree in German from Washington University in St. Louis, shaped in part by a formative year studying abroad in Vienna. He is an active member of the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology and the International Coaching Federation. Outside of consulting, Kelly follows his curiosity where it leads, whether wandering museums with his wife, working in an art workshop, or writing about creativity and leadership from a local coffee shop.
